Continuity

Ongoing care requires continuity.

A one-time visit can orient the work. Ongoing prescribing, messaging, lab review, and clinical follow-up require an active continuity relationship with Dr. King.

I.
What continuity includes

An active physician relationship.

Continuity is the structure that holds ongoing physician care between visits — the messaging, the prescribing, the reading of new results next to old ones.

  • Secure clinical messaging with Dr. King
  • Prescription and refill management
  • Medication and hormone adjustments
  • Lab review and follow-up planning
  • Ongoing interpretation as new data arrives
  • Care coordination where appropriate
II.
What a one-time visit does not include

A first visit can orient. It cannot carry the work forward alone.

A single visit is enough to answer a question or begin a pathway. Anything that continues beyond that visit — prescribing, messaging, lab follow-up, interpretation over time — requires a continuity relationship.

  • Indefinite messaging or texting between visits
  • Ongoing prescription or refill management
  • Ongoing lab interpretation
  • Repeated clinical questions without an active care relationship
  • Emergency or urgent care access
III.
Clinical Continuity

One continuity model. Relationship-based.

After the initial consultation and review process, patients who wish to continue ongoing physician-guided care may enter Clinical Continuity.

Continuity is decided together, after the initial review. It is not required, and is not a membership.
