A first look at fit.
A brief, no-cost call to understand what you're navigating and whether this practice is the right setting for it. No history forms, no labs — just a conversation.
Family medicine, integrative training, and the attention of a physician who takes the long arc seriously. Most patients begin with a complimentary fifteen-minute introductory conversation; the next step, when appropriate, is the Initial Physician Consultation + Systems Review.
A small practice where one physician knows your story and stays in it.
Embody bridges board-certified family medicine with integrative care — nutrition, movement, sleep, environment, nervous system. We treat the person the numbers point toward, not the numbers in isolation.
A clear arc — from first conversation to longitudinal care — designed around physician attention rather than appointment volume.

An unhurried intake with Dr. King: full medical and lifestyle history, review of prior records, and a focused physical examination where clinically appropriate and logistically practical (in-person clinic days, home visits, or retreat settings). Advanced lab work is then ordered and reviewed together in a dedicated follow-up interpretation visit.
Longitudinal physician oversight with visits every three months — or as needed. Includes Lifecycle Labs every three months: advanced cardiovascular markers (ApoB, Lipoprotein(a), advanced lipid panel), metabolic physiology (fasting insulin, glucose, HbA1c), inflammation (hs-CRP and related markers), hormonal status (thyroid, sex hormones, adrenal), nutrient status (vitamin D, iron, ferritin, key micronutrients), and organ function (liver, kidney, recovery markers) — interpreted together to follow trajectory over time. Continuity also includes secure messaging, lab interpretation, and the seam of care that ongoing physiology requires.
For established patients not on a continuity membership: focused follow-up or refill visits, billed per visit.
The relationship is the constant. The setting bends to fit the life — a video visit on a Tuesday, a home visit on the coast, a clinic day for what needs hands, a retreat when the question is larger than an hour.
Secure video visits from wherever you are — home, the road, the other side of the island. The same thirty minutes, the same physician, no waiting room.
For patients on the Kohala coast, a visit at home — where the kitchen, the bedroom, the rhythm of the day are part of the history.
Scheduled clinic days for examinations, procedures, and the conversations that benefit from sitting in the same room.
Small, physician-led gatherings on the island — a longer arc of attention to nutrition, movement, recovery, and the questions a single visit cannot hold.
Embody is for people whose questions have outgrown the standard appointment. People at a hinge — peri- or post-menopausal, returning from illness, mid-career, mid-life, mid-question. People who want a physician who reads more than the chart.
Embody is not urgent care, a primary care home, or a replacement for an emergency department. It is the longitudinal practice you keep in addition.
Most of what shapes a body over time is not a prescription. It is a pattern. Embody works in patterns.
Whole food. Soil-up. Seasonal. We work in what your body recognizes, not what a marketing department named.
Somatic, strength-bearing, daily. Movement as conversation with the body — not a regimen imposed on it.
The medicine that happens in the dark. We treat sleep as the foundation, not the afterthought.
Nervous system, people, place. Belonging is biology. Isolation is, too.
Clinical-grade labs, used sparingly. A starting point, not a verdict.
Variants in detoxification, methylation, hormone metabolism, neurotransmitter pathways. The score, not the verdict.
Cortisol curve, sex hormone pathways, adrenal patterns — read in context.
Functional, not just taxonomic. What the community is doing, not only who lives there.
Advanced biomarker panels used within ongoing physician care — read every three to four months to follow physiology, hormones, metabolism, inflammation, and trajectory over time.
